Helen, my little girl is 4 months old and while my friends’ babies are already trying to sit up, my little girl seems to be lazy to even try at all. I heard girls are usually more active than male babies. Can you tell me if I should point and place her in a sitting position, or should I let her try all of the moves by herself?
Moms' answer:
Dear mom, do not worry because your little girl is still not supposed to be sitting. Babies should be sitting when they are 7 months old. We can tolerate sitting a bit earlier at 6 months, but under the condition that the baby has the interest to do so on its own. Therefore, relax and enjoy, she will sit when she feels ready and you will be there to support her. Good job for the both of you!
